Your Rush
Starts Here
Everything you need to know about joining a WSU fraternity — from your first event to Bid Day. This is how you find your people.
Formal or Informal —
You Can Still Join
An 8-day structured process designed to help you find the chapter that fits you best — socially, academically, and personally. You will meet every IFC fraternity, narrow down your list each round, and finish with a bid from the right chapter.
This is not about rushing a decision. It is about finding your people.
- Minimum 2.7 GPA to register
- Be in Pullman by August 16th
- Must participate the entirety of recruitment
- Register on Campus Director before Aug 16
You can still join a fraternity at WSU outside of Formal Recruitment. Chapters host events throughout the year — check their social media pages or reach out directly to a chapter's recruitment chair.
Informal recruitment events are reposted on the WSU IFC Instagram. Give us a follow to stay updated.
- Minimum 2.7 GPA to apply
- Register with the Campus Director link
- Check chapter social media for upcoming events
- Contact chapter recruitment chairs directly
How Formal Recruitment Works
Sign up on Campus Director before Aug 16. You will receive a personalized schedule of chapter events based on your preferences.
August 16 on Terrell Mall. Meet all 20 IFC chapters in a casual setting. Chapters are limited to 5 members at their table.
Four rounds over seven days. Events get longer and more selective each round — 25 min in Round 1 (Aug 17–18), 35 min in Round 2 (Aug 19–20), 40 min in Round 3 (Aug 21), 60 min in Round 4 (Aug 22).
August 23 on Glenn Terrell Mall and Library Road. PNMs run home to their chapter at 2:00 PM.

Tips for a Successful Rush
Chapters are looking for genuine fit, not a performance. The right house will want you for who you are — not who you think they want you to be.
The chapter you assumed was your top choice might surprise you. Visit every house with genuine curiosity — that is how you find the right fit.
Ask about GPA support, time commitment, brotherhood culture, and post-grad networks. Surface-level conversation will not help you decide.
You must be in Pullman by August 16th and committed for the full process. Missing events can cost you a bid — do not cut it close.
There is no strict dress code. Wear something you feel good in and that represents you — confidence reads more than what you have on.
The matching system works. Submit honest preferences on Campus Director and trust that Bid Day puts you exactly where you are supposed to be.
